Introduction to Photoshop - adding shapes

Adding Shapes

To add a shape, I selected the shape tool on the tool bar on the left hand side. There are several different shapes available to choose from ,such as arrows and different animals. I chose to draw a rabbit, a bird, a frame and some musical notes. In order to make sure the shapes did not become warped as I drew them, I held the shift key the same as I did before when using the marquee tools. I chose to fill the rabbit and the bird in purple, the frame in blue and the music notes in green. The shapes tool can be useful for if I ever need to create a poster aimed towards pet owners or musicians, and has nice shapes that I could possibly use to create interesting background designs on my work.

In this image I added more shapes; some waves this time. I overlapped them to create a nice effect, which could also be used as decoration when I create an article or poster. Adding in shapes can be a lot easier than trying to draw your own using the brush tool, which can be found on the tool bar on the left hand side of the page.
