Smoothing Edges
First of all, I start by using the rectangular marquee tool to draw a small box. With it still highlighted, I fill it with a purple colour, to make it clearly visible. To smooth the edges of the shape, I go into 'Edit' at the top of the page, and choose the option 'Select'. I then press 'Modify', and then changing the number settings between 20 - 60. This creates a good text box or a nice decoration to add to a piece of work.
