Using Filters
When creating a poster or advertisements, using a filter on a piece of work can create beautiful background effects. They can liven up a piece of work, make it stand out from the crowd, and grab the viewer's attention. It gives a little bit of extra decoration to the background, and can be useful when trying to create something artistic and unusual. On a creative CV, I could pick a background filter that matches my personality and makes my CV just that little bit different from everyone else's.
To start with, I added two strokes to my page before adding any filters. I did this to make it look more organised and put together, making it look much more professional and planned out. To choose a filter, i went to the task bar and chose the option 'Filters'. I then selected 'Filter gallery', and a window opened up filled with different kinds of filters to use. Each filter is adjustable and customise-able depending on how you want your page to look and how intense you want the filter to be.
For example, in this image I used the noise filter. Adding noise to something means adding a grainy effect onto an image, making it look more like film and have a fuzzy, pixelated quality to it. You can adjust the filter to either have more grains, less grains, bigger grains or small grains. It makes the pastel pink colour I used for this background look even softer and more welcoming.
