Project Connect - Fifth Poster

Project Connect - Fifth Poster

The them of this poster is responsibility. I chose to use a simple watercolour brush in order to create a nice, decorative background. I also made it pink, because the colour pink represents caring and nurturing. This represents the idea that by being responsible for your actions and taking on responsibilities of your own, you are caring for the people around you and being a good person.
Plus, I decided to use the elliptical marquee tool to create a circle to write my text on. This is because spherical shapes are welcoming and open, and give people a sense of inclusion and community when they look at them.
I chose to mainly use a sans serif font for my quote sue to the fact that it appeals to my target audience. However, to emphasise on the most important main parts of the quote, I chose to use a decorative cursive typeface. This has the effect of making specific words stand out, like 'Responsibility' and 'change anything'. The extra emphasis on specific words helps them to stick in the reader's minds.
I chose to use the colour purple for my decorative circle because it combines the stability of the colour blue with the ambitious nature of the colour red. To be responsible and have responsibilities, a person must have the ability to consistently manage their lives appropriately (stability), but also have the determination not to fall behind or begin lacking in their abilities (ambition).
