Project Connect - Fourth Poster

Project Connect - Fourth Poster

In this poster, I chose respect as my theme. Included in my background, I used one of the many photos I took in my group, and used the history brush tool to make the picture greyscale and then have only the hands in colour. This is effective because it emphasises on the friendship and mutual respect both people have for each other in the image, and shows two people getting along together and being polite and respectful. It creates an example of how everyone else should act towards another.
Also, I used a decorative sans serif font for the first section of the quote I wrote. This is because sans serif fonts appeal to a younger audience, and I want my poster to capture the attention of students around the college. I also made the font blue, due to the fact that blue is an instructional colour and the favourite colour of people across all age groups, making it stand out to students even more and making them want to listen to the message being portrayed.
I chose a different sans serif typeface to type the last word in the quote, 'peace'. I wanted this word to be the most noticeable and have the most impact, so I chose to separate it from the rest of the text, use a different but still appealing and appropriate typeface, and made it larger than the rest of the text.
To make the text stand out more from the monotonous background, I added a white drop shadow to the text. This makes the text more legible and visible, so that the text is easier on the eyes and is easy to read.
