Definitions

Brand Loyalty

Definition: (noun) the tendency of some consumers to continue buying the same brand of goods rather than competing brands. 

Examples: people who use Apple products Vs. People who use Samsung products, people who drink Coke Vs. People who drink Pepsi.

Brand Association

Definition: The way in which people think of a particular brand of product when they think of a particular activity because they are closely connected with each other. 

Examples: Thinking of Coke when they see someone dressed as Father Christmas.

Brand Recognition

Definition: the extent to which the general public (or an organisations' target market) is able to identify a brand by its attributes.

Examples: recognising the Apple logo with no text.
